Discoloration (blueing) is caused by tuning characteristics, cam timing, carburetor jetting, overheating, etc. and is not caused by defective manufacturing. Simple to mount. Remove the OEM back half, using the OEM clamps clamp each pipe on. you can abandon the lower mount and the upper mount that is attached to the foot peg mount. There is no internal baffling, the sound about on par with traditional aftermarket HD exhaust systems. We strongly recommend a high flow air fitler such as the Screaming Eagle or KN or equivalent, then utilize Harleys Race Tuner kit, Power Commander or TFI box having a certified Dynojet dyno operater perform the final tuning. Dyno testing has produced up to 8-10 hp with the Streetfighter's in place and with much more audible and sophisticated exhaust note to announce your arrival !!
