ELECTRONIC
FUEL INJECTION CONVERSION FOR CARBURETED V-TWIN - Pegasus by BDL
Designed
to convert your carbureted V-Twin to electronic fuel injection without
all of the sensors and wiring that is normally associated with EFI systems.
This compact kit relies simply on throttle position and engine speed with
just four wires to hook up.
The 53mm throttle body is CNC machined from billet aluminum with dual
60 lb/hour injectors that are capable of producing up to 120 horsepower
(more if higher flow injectors are installed).
Requires S&S brand G intake manifold.
Controls both the fuel with its sequential timed injection and the ignition
with its multiple spark discharge-type single fire ignition.
There are several ways to adjust the system:
Use the knob on top of the control unit to richen or lean out the fuel
mixture.
Use the nose cone mounted ignition sensor plate to adjust the ignition
timing.
Use a personal desktop assistant (PDA) for on-board tuning of fuel delivery,
timing and other parameters.
Use a laptop or personal computer for complete control over the entire
system.
The preinstalled base map is set up for an 80 cubic inch engine with an
Andrews EV-46 cam and a SuperTrapp Exhaust. For any other combination
you must load the proper map into the brain using a computer running Windows
98, NT or 2000 with a CD-ROM or DVD drive.

What is Power
Commander?
The Power Commander is a fuel injection adjustment unit that plugs "inline"
with the bike’s stock ECU (electronic control unit). The PC uses
original equipment style connectors, so no splicing or cutting of the
harness is required. Most installations take less than 15 minutes, some
as little as 5 minutes.
Changes are
made to the bikes fuel and, in some cases, ignition curves via the PC's
onboard microprocessor. Using this technology we are able to offer a large
area of adjustment without making any permanent changes to the bike’s
ECU. Removing the PC returns the bike to its previous stock condition.
Each unit comes complete with software and cable link that allows you
to change between different maps or make adjustments to a map file.
The PCIII
EX offers virtually the same tuning functionality as our “race only”
Power Commander line, while at the same time complying with the
California ARB regulations.
On 2007 Harley-Davidson
(and the 2006 Dyna) the PCIII EX interfaces with the bikes’ stock
02 sensors to provide optimal fuel economy. Additionally, it allows fuel
mapping capability (both fuel and timing) at higher RPM and throttle opening
for maximum horsepower and torque.
The PCII EX is compatible with our patented Tuning Link Software. Custom
maps can be developed in much the same way as the “race only”
version. Maps made for the “race only” PCIII can be loaded
into the PCIII EX and are automatically converted to the proper format.
Harley-Davidson motorcycles are unique and so is the Power Commander for
them. Not only does the PCIII EX for HD applications offer full fuel adjustability
(+/-50%, it also incorporates a built-in ignition module. Ignition timing
changes of up to +4 /- 10 degrees from stock can be made.
Additionally,
the unit includes our Rev X-tend features that allow the user to increase
the stock rev limiter to 6, 200 rpm without having to take the bike to
a dealer for an expensive ECU update.
Like the
rest of the Power Commander line, the PCIII EX for Harley-Davidson motorcycles
can map each cylinder for maximum performance regardless of the combination
of parts being used.

LCD
Display Accessory for Power Commander III USB - Dynojet
The LCD
Display connects to any Power Commander USB via a “quick disconnect”
cable. It is designed to remain on the bike and is weather resistant.
While connected, the unit will display all available data from the Power
Commander. When the optional Multi-Function Hub is also installed all
of its data is available for viewing as well.
Multiple
maps can be stored in the unit (requires optional SD memory card, not
included). These maps can be sent to the Power Commander “on the
fly.” Additionally, maps can be adjusted using the controls on the
display.
The LCD Display
has the ability to log the data being displayed later analysis (requires
optional SD memory card, not included).

TUNEABLE
SELF ADJUSTING IGNITION/FUEL MODULE KIT FOR EFI TWIN CAM - Daytona Twin
Tech
Designed
as the new technical product of the year at 2004 V-Twin Expo Awards.
Allows total adjustability of the ignition and the electronic fuel injection
fuel curves when performance products are added such as big bore cylinders,
high compression pistons, high lift cams with long duration, high flow
air cleaner, low restriction exhaust, larger throttle bodies, high flow
fuel injectors, nitrous oxide or turbo.
The included wide-band exhaust gas oxygen sensor transmits a signal to
the interface, (WEGO), which interprets the fuel/air ratio mixture data.
That information is fed into the controller providing automatic fuel/air
mixture adjustment. A weld-in type nut is provided for the rear exhaust
pipe to install the sensor.
The advantage of the Daytona Twin Tec Kit over competitor's systems is
that they incorporate a speed-density method. With long duration cam profiles,
the manifold pressure becomes too erratic producing uneven injector pulse
widths. This creates problems at idle and low RPM cruise speed. The Twin
Tec uses a robust alpha-n method that is based on throttle position and
RPM.
To help troubleshoot driveability problems the unit has built-in data
logging that stores data for the last 15 minutes of operation.
For improved diagnostics of the fuel/air ratio mixture use our LCD read-out
WEGO interface (Note: Not waterproof and should be used accordingly).
For on-board diagnostics of all 19 parameters use a Palm Pilot (not included)
and our palm link cable. This is especially helpful if the motorcycle
does not have a tachometer or if you are not using the LCD WEGO interface.
To pre-program the controller at your desktop computer use our AC/DC adapter.
Includes detailed instructions, but it is highly recommended that the
installation technician is well versed in Delphi fuel injection systems
and competent at computer skills.
