BILLET FORWARD CONTROL KITS FOR BIG TWIN 4 SPEED AND SOFTAIL - Belt Drives Ltd.

5/8" Bore.
These standard length forward controls are CNC machined from billet aluminum for superior strength and light weight.
Contoured pegs have rubber inserts for a no-slip grip.
Bronze pivot bushings and thrust washers provide smooth action with years of service.
Flush mount control to frame hardware is included (3 for shift side & 2 for brake side).
Shift side includes a 4 bolt-type threaded mount for the OE style Jiffy stand.
For proper brake pedal pressure these controls were designed for disc brakes with a caliper that requires a 5/8" bore master cylinder.
Due to the side port location a custom brake line will be required for a 10mm banjo bolt.
Fits Big Twin 4 Speed 1958/1986 & Softail 1986/1999.
1986 Softail models will require relocation of the oil filter.
Late FX 4 Speed models may require a brake side mounting tab welded to the frame.

"HIGH END" BILLET FORWARD CONTROLS FOR BIG TWIN

Designed for the motorcycle enthusiast that demands nothing but the best, these forward controls are by far the finest we have seen. By incorporating the master cylinder and reservoir into the mounting bracket, Excel Components has simplified the total look. To improve function, both the shift side and the brake side levers rotate on sealed needle bearings. To further enhance shifting, the lever for the shift linkage rod has been reduced in length, requiring less foot movement when shifting gears. Not only was the form and function top priority when designing these forward controls, but the material used is also nothing less than aerospace quality. CNC machined from 6061 certified aluminum billet and heat treated to T-6 specifications, these controls include stainless steel hardware. For best results use the 3/4" bore kit with six piston caliper and the 5/8" bore kit with a four piston brake caliper. When using any other type of caliper refer to the manufacturer's recommended bore size. Note: Footrests and shift peg are not included as shown. Shipping is free*.

Due to the width of the master cylinder, some people like the symmetrical look with a shorter peg on the brake side. The shift side footrest is 6 1/2" long while the brake side footrest is 5 3/4" long. This helps keep the footrest protrusion equal from centerline of the motorcycle.
