BDL ELECTRIC START 3 inch 8MM OPEN PRIMARY BELT DRIVE KIT FOR BIG TWIN

These kits are truly a custom builders delight. Manufactured by Belt Drives Limited (BDL) for unsurpassed quality in the motorcycle industry. All kits include BDL's "quiet clutch" with Kevlar fiber plates that virtually eliminates the clutch rattle that is normally associated with open belt drives. Kits are available with your choice of clutch spring, coil type or diaphragm type as listed. Our one piece, CNC machined billet aluminum motor plate features a double row sealed bearing for maximum strength on the mainshaft. The starter ring gear pocket is recessed into the plate and the starter housing is designed to cover most of the open area of the gear. To further enhance the appearance, a polished aluminum cover is included that fits behind the front pulley and camouflages the stator. A side guard is held in place with hex stand-offs and button head allens. We also include a special starter gear. The 4 speed kit is designed for use with ratchet top transmission, 1991/Later starter motor and a 1979/Later 4 speed clutch release arm 44208. Simple modifications will have to be made to the clutch release arm and a small cut out of the oil tank bracket will be needed for starter motor clearance on FX models. Includes instructions. Softail kits include a two piece front pulley consisting of a 3 inch wide pulley and a splined steel insert. By replacing the included insert with a longer one, along with the corresponding alternator mount and offset transmission mounting plate, you can install these belt drive kits on frames designed for wide tire applications. PRIMO14MM OPEN PRIMARY BELT DRIVE KITS FOR SOFTAIL

Primo Products Inc., Polished. The BRUTE V uses a 3 1/2 inch wide 14MM tooth belt.
Features the Primo diaphragm spring type pro-clutch that has 70% more friction surface than the OEM clutch and is much easier on the clutch lever hand than coil spring type clutches. . The BRUTE V has a 30 tooth engine pulley and a 46 tooth clutch pulley that produces a primary drive ration of 1.53:1. Both the engine and the clutch pulleys are hard anodized for years of service

COIL SPRING TO DIAPHRAGM SPRING RETRO-FIT KITS FOR BDL DRIVES - BDL

Provides for a smooth clutch engagement and reduces hand fatigue that is sometimes more noticeable with a coil type spring.
Kit includes a pressure plate, spring collar, diaphragm spring and 4 shoulder bolts.
Kit includes medium duty diaphragm spring. (Fits both kits.)
Available separately is a heavy duty diaphragm spring (25% stronger). (Also fits both kits.)

'QUIET CLUTCH' FOR BDL BELT DRIVES - BDL

The engineers at Belt Drives Ltd. have designed a clutch plate kit that will help to quiet the rattle that is normally associated with open belt drives or closed belt drives with vented covers. Normally the friction plates are splined to the inner clutch hub, but the quiet clutch friction plates incorporate a round dog drive to the outer clutch basket. The friction plates feature a Kevlar friction material and are bonded to 6062 T-6 aluminum plates for light weight. Made in U.S.A.

These 8mm, 47 tooth engine pulleys are direct replacement parts for Belt Drives Limited (BDL) primary belt drive kits. All pulleys are hard anodized aluminum with cast-in steel inserts to maximize the lifespan and provide the greatest weight to strength ratio. Each pulley includes a mounting nut and washer. REPLACEMENT PRIMARY BELTS FOR BIG TWIN

All replacement primary belts are fiberglass reinforced HTD type rubber belts (except 77511, 77548 & 77533 that are KEVLAR® reinforced) supplied to us straight from the manufacturer to ensure a positive fit every time. If the needed belt length is not known, determine the number of pulley teeth combination and width for the correct belt.

Note: Due to the numerous variables of misalignment and improper tensioning upon installation, there is no warranty on belts.
